Acquittal In Tavern Shooting

We successfully represented a 30-year-old Paterson man who was involved in a shooting in a Passaic bar. Our client, D.P. gave the woman money for sex but when she changed her mind, he demanded his money back, and she refused. Suddenly, another man pulled a pistol on him. Our client grabbed it away, shot the man three times, and turned himself in to the police. We argued self-defense. He was found not guilty of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons charges.  – Bergen Record Newspaper
