Statements Barred in Murder Case
June 17, 1987
A client from Passaic was accused of killing his girlfriend and upon arrest, he gave a statement to the police. We successfully got his statement excluded from evidence, as he himself was wounded and medicated when given his Miranda rights. He told the police that his girlfriend shot him once, and then turned the gun on herself and fired twice. We were fortunate the statement was excluded, as both shots found in her skull were fatal and would have killed her instantly according to our medical expert. -Passaic Herald News
