Four Acquitted of Murder

Four teenagers were charged with murder in the death of a 30-year-old man in Hoboken. The teens taunted this young man, exhibiting a mindless immaturity that soon evolved into a street fight.  My client, W.A.  was older, and the biggest of the group.  I asked him to wear a pair of eyeglasses, a white shirt, and a tie to look meek and vulnerable in front of the jury.  It is always important to be conscious of the jury’s perception of your client’s appearance. W.A. benefitted from this advice. He was convicted of simple assault instead of murder, with 30 years to life. – The Jersey Journal
